When four systems each keep their own copy of net sales, the weekly meeting becomes a reconciliation exercise. One ledger is less a technical decision than a management one.
Anything can look good in a demo on a Tuesday. We test against a full Friday service, because that is the only load that tells you the truth.
We would rather lose a deal in week one than in month six. If a format is a bad fit, the honest answer is cheaper for everyone.

First multi-unit customer. The product was one dashboard and a point-of-sale reader, and it was enough.
Payments and scheduling ship. The single-ledger model stops being a diagram and starts being the product.
SOC 2 Type II. Compliance moves from a spreadsheet a customer maintained to something the platform produces.
Hardware and installation. The last part of the stack somebody still had to solve on their own.
Agent Commerce ships. Buyers start sending agents, and the catalogue becomes something a machine can read.
